Is a "Cake Pan Rival N 'Bake Pan for baking banana bread in my crockpot?
I make banana bread in my crockpot and the recipe calls for cooking the rival Pan Cake N 'pot. Well, the rival who does not as far as I see and I'd rather not buy one if I could use another type of bread. Does anyone know if my banana bread are still so I just use a standard Bread Baking in my crock pot?
I do not know about using a standard bake bread, but you can use a coffee can placed on a rack or trivet in the cooker. I also seen recipes for Banana Bread crock pots calling a new clay pot! Here is a recipe calling for a can: slow cooking Banana Bread 1 / 3 cup butter 1 / 2 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 3 / 4 cups flour 1 tbsp tea baking powder 1 / 2 teaspoon salt 1 / 2 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup mashed bananas 1 / 2 cup raisins or chopped dates 1 / 2 cup chopped nuts, optional In a bowl, beat together sugar, butter, add eggs and beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with mashed banana and mix raisins or chopped dates and chopped nuts, if necessary. Grease a 4-cup can and pour the mixture into it. Can cover page with 6 to 8 layers of paper towels and place on a rack in the pot. Cover crockpot and cook on high for 2 to 3 hours (or until the bread is done).
