One of the only two varieties of clover native to the state of Minnesota, Purple Prairie Clover is a great addition to butterfly gardens and native landscaping projects. The cone-like purple flowers bloom in mid Summer and early Fall. Not only does it serve as a host plant to several butterfly species, it also infuses nitrogen, helping to repair soil and increase fertility.
